Summer Fun

We had a great time up north with friends again this summer.  I created this 5x7 card using the Explore Canada kit. The photo was a bit fuzzy so I softened it to make it look like it was supposed to be like that.  The kids had such a great time tubing.  Thanks Uncle Mart!

Sign of a Successful Camping Trip

You know that it has been a good camping day when your child falls asleep exhausted before you've had a chance to wash their feet before bed.  This seemed to happen a lot for us this summer.

Catching Up

I've been working hard on catching up on my albums.  Here is pic from when we visited the Huizinga's farm a couple of years ago.  I copied the page idea from the project centre on my website.  Always nice when other people can come up with these great creations and give step by step instructions.

Digital Workshops

For the last several weeks Kelly S and I have been hosting digital workshops.  This is the homework the ladies were sent home with last week, to create the Bubble title and the actual bubbles.  I look forward to the class this week to see how they all turn out.  If you would like the instructions for this let me know and I will post it under the digital section.

Happy Holidays

From our family to yours, we hope you have a blessed Christmas and best wishes for 2012.  The last two weeks have been hectic with flu bugs, colds and crazy shoppers at the malls but we have survived!  Can't wait to enjoy a nice relaxing Christmas Eve with "my boys" tonight.  All the best, Kelly.

It has been a while again!

It's been quite a while since my last post.  Was hoping I wasn't going to be one of  "those bloggers".  I am happy to report though that I have found some fun things since August.  One of them is pixels2pages.  This is a great website that you can subscribe to, or not, through my Creative Memories website.  I currently do not subscribe.  At the moment I feel like I don't have the time to dedicate to it.  When my landscaping job is done I will be all over it.  So for now I check out the challenges that they put out every Monday.  The page up top  I created this summer.  The one below I did as one of the challenges.  Instead of placing your smaller photos directly on the large one, the challenge was to split a pic and add the others in between.  I love the look that this gives the page.

To divide your photo simply go to the cut and fill tab using your Storybook Software (4.0 version is now available).  Your first option on the left is your straight cutter.  Choose this and then cut your pic.  Pull the 2 pieces apart and then add your other pics between the separated photo.
So I encourage you to check out pixels2pages.  If you have a fun page you've created and would like me to post it on my blog just pass it along, and let me check it out!  Happy Scrappin'.

Create a Magazine Cover

The soccer season is over and we are ready to swing into hockey.  Team and individual photos came back and I really like the pic this year (Chris Cheliak) is the photographer.  However, I forgot to order a magazine cover...sigh.  So I created my own.  I used the new digital Soccer Addition, dragged the pic on and matted it, found a UPC on line, and got the SI font from 1001fonts.com.  Voila, a magazine cover.
